擅長用鄒族特有的輪廓與色彩,呈現在不同面板媒材,牆壁、磚牆、電線杆等都可以揮灑作畫,從部落長輩口述、自我觀察,甚至觀察動物足跡與獵人打獵過程,將所聽、所看一筆一畫描繪在食堂牆面,真實地展現鄒族神話故事、族人的生活點滴,打造食堂長輩們共同的記憶面貌。

許久以前,天上突然出現了兩顆太陽,刺眼、炎熱的光不斷地照耀著大地,兩顆太陽每天都高高掛著,天地萬物被高溫曬的懨懨一息,作物無法成長,族人也無法出外工作,生活很痛苦,萬物活在沒有夜晚的世界,沒人知道該怎麼辦。
為了解決這個難題,族人的領袖們聚集在庫巴(KUBA)討論解決辦法……這時,有位勇士,知道了族人的困難,便自告奮勇要接下這個任務,決心要解決這難題,誓言要把一顆太陽射下,希望能讓萬物生活的環境能恢復如從前般的生機,勇士不顧危險,用盡全力大步奔跑著,不斷朝著太陽的方向辛苦追逐著,好不容易,勇士終於追逐到太陽了!
此時,勇士沉住呼吸、拉開弓箭、瞄準太陽…….射中了!勇士擊中太陽,天地開始劇烈的搖動,勇士趕緊躲到山洞裡,等待著天地恢復平靜。
沒想到,因為勇士的射擊,讓兩顆太陽嚇壞了,紛紛躲起來,外面的天空越來越黑,颳起風,很長一段時間,兩顆太陽都不敢出現,世界變成一片黑暗,勇士非常懊悔,無盡的長夜不是勇士想要的結果。
沒了太陽,世界陷入長久的黑暗,動物和農作物都不見了,族人的生活變得更加困苦,族人開始不斷向太陽祈求,希望太陽能出現照亮大地,族人們真誠的祈求,感動了太陽,終於,沒受傷的太陽終於願意出現了,早上用溫暖的陽光照亮大地,又賜給萬物生命;而另一顆受傷的太陽變成了月亮,在夜晚守護大地,讓族人、動植物有休息的機會,再次孕育新的能量,有了晝夜、東升西落,族人們重新恢復日出而作、日落而息的生活,農作物再次豐收,從此萬物生生不息。

上古時期,達邦附近有一條無比巨大的鰻魚橫躺在溪中,巨鰻的身型太過壯大,堵住了部落裡的溪水,水不斷湧入村莊,漫淹過屋頂,洪水氾濫成海,大地頓時成了一片汪洋。
族人為了存活,人們和動物都跑到玉山上的洞窟躲起來,深怕被恐怖的洪水淹沒,族人在玉山上不安的等待著,希望隨著時間流逝,洪水能退去,但過了很久……..洪水絲毫沒有退減的跡象,族人們都不知所措,難過辛苦建造的家園就這樣消失了,只能彼此安慰,祈求上天能有奇蹟發生。
部落族人在玉山躲避洪水的時候,沒有火種,所以就派了哥有伊細鳥(kojoise)去尋找火種,哥有伊細鳥雖然找到火種,因為飛行速度太慢了,火燒到牠的嘴邊,所以就放棄火種。人們又派了烏忽古鳥(ungu)去取回火種,他飛得很快,所以順利的把火種帶回來,從此大家有火種可以來煮食物、烤火取暖了。
因為烏忽古鳥取回火種,所以族人容許牠在田裡吃小米,而哥有伊細鳥只能在田邊覓食。這兩種鳥的嘴尖都是短的、平的形狀,那就是取火種的時候被火燒過的痕迹。

The tribesmen waited for a long time, but the flood did not recede. Everyone was so sad that their hard-built homes have disappeared. Aside from comfort each other, they could only pray to the gods for a miracle.
When people were avoiding the flood in Yushan, they sent kojoise to look for fire. Although kojoise had found the fire, it burned his mouth because he flew too slowly, and failed to bring it back. Then the tribesmen asked ungu to look for the fire again. It flew very fast, so this time the fire was successfully brought back , and then everyone had fire for cooking and warming.
Because ungu had retrieved the fire, the tribe allowed it to eat millet from the field, and the kojoise could only seek food beside the field. The short and flat beaks of these two birds are the evidence of bring back the fire for the tribe.

這幅畫,呈現鄒族傳統生活的日常,族人們各自為著生活努力,勤奮的樣子,鄒族勇士外出打獵、捕魚、守護家園的平安,婦女在田裡耕作、煮飯、照顧孩子,打理家裡的事物,彼此分工合作。
男子們外出打獵的前一晚,鄒族男子們忙碌準備獵捕的工具,包括磨利刀劍、製作弓箭、縫補背袋,也要帶著山芙蓉樹皮製作而成,經過巫師祈福後的幸運符(fugueo),祈求打獵過程可以順利,平安帶著豐收的獵物回家。

小米,是鄒族重要的糧食作物,金黃金黃的顏色,真漂亮。
每年7、8月正是適合收割小米的季節,在小米採收前,我們會把鐮刀磨利,部落裡的男性修補編織放小米的背簍(yunku),讓背簍(yunku)可以堅固,承載採收的小米,把小米保護好,這是一個很粗重的工作,一定要有力量的男子們一起來幫忙。
婦女們帶著鐮刀,手握著每株小米,在靠近手掌處,割下稻稈,再將每束小米用線綑綁在一起,一束一束輕輕的放進簍子裡,健壯的男子們用力背起背簍,將滿滿豐收的小米帶回家。回家後,將一束一束綑綁好的小米,放在太陽下日曬,讓小米吸收充足的陽光,可以保存的更久,好好的保存土地給予小米的滋養。
小米豐收後,每年舉行的小米祭,是部落的一項重要大事,整個部落的人都會一起參與、幫忙,有好多的工作大家要分工合作,除了感謝小米女神帶來今年的豐收,讓我們可以有富足的生活、生長飽滿的小米可以採收,同時也祈求上天賜予豐沛的雨水,讓明年作物長得好、長得健康,能繼續照顧部落裡的族人們。

每年7、8月小米收後,最重要就是小米祭了Homeyaya(穫米亞亞)!
我們想好好感謝小米女神,感謝小米女神在過去一年保護小米,讓今年小米可以豐收,小米祭就像是鄒族的過年,是家家戶戶、全部落的族人都要一起參與的大事。
為了準備祭典要用的小米酒,族人們會將曬乾的小米過篩、開始搗米後再將小米煮熟,製作小米酒;祭典前,族人們會禁吃魚、蔥薑蒜、地瓜,將身體清潔乾淨、打掃祭屋,將鍋碗瓢盆洗乾淨餐具、曬太陽,因為小米女神愛乾淨,要將環境整理,小米女神才會開心;小米祭典當天,部落長老及族人們會以酒、肉、糯米糕等食物祭祀神靈,感謝小米女神的祝福,讓農作豐收,並為家人們祈求祝福。
家人們共聚分享,參與祭典外,更會一起準備豐盛的餐點,並先邀請部落的長輩、耆老到家中享用,給予家人祝福,分享喜悅。期盼明年的農作物也能得到女神的保護,持續豐收,擁有富足的生活。

For the Tsou people, the millet festival is like the Lunar New Year. It’s a really big deal and the whole tribe will come and enjoy it.
In order to prepare the millet wine for the festival, the clansmen will sieve the dried millet, start to pound the millet, and then cook the millet to make millet wine. Before the ceremony, the clansmen are forbidden to eat fish, green onion ,ginger, garlic, and sweet potato. Because the goddess of millet loves cleanliness, the clansmen will cleanse their bodies, clean the sacrificial house, wash the pots, pans and tableware, and dried under the sun. The goddess of millet will be satisfied if the environment is organized. On the day of the millet festival, the elders will worship the gods with millet wine, meat, glutinous rice cakes, thank the goddess of millet for a bumper harvest, and pray for blessings for their families.
Besides a big reunion in the ceremony, the family will invite the elders of the tribe to their house and share a sumptuous meal with them, giving blessings to the family and sharing the joy. Hoping the crops will be harvested under the blessings of the goddess of millet, so that they can have a rich life.
我們想好好感謝小米女神,感謝小米女神在過去一年保護小米,讓今年小米可以豐收,小米祭就像是鄒族的過年,是家家戶戶、全部落的族人都要一起參與的大事。
為了準備祭典要用的小米酒,族人們會將曬乾的小米過篩、開始搗米後再將小米煮熟,製作小米酒;祭典前,族人們會禁吃魚、蔥薑蒜、地瓜,將身體清潔乾淨、打掃祭屋,將鍋碗瓢盆洗乾淨餐具、曬太陽,因為小米女神愛乾淨,要將環境整理,小米女神才會開心;小米祭典當天,部落長老及族人們會以酒、肉、糯米糕等食物祭祀神靈,感謝小米女神的祝福,讓農作豐收,並為家人們祈求祝福。
家人們共聚分享,參與祭典外,更會一起準備豐盛的餐點,並先邀請部落的長輩、耆老到家中享用,給予家人祝福,分享喜悅。期盼明年的農作物也能得到女神的保護,持續豐收,擁有富足的生活。
